Program Description:  The Small Business Energy Advantage program assists commercial and industrial Eversource customers with an average 12 month peak demand between 10kW and 200kW in upgrading outdated equipment.  By replacing old, inefficient equipment with modern, energy efficient equipment such as LED lighting throughout the business, business owners receive a generous incentive through Eversource and savings on their monthly electric bill.  Additionally, 0% financing is offered to assist small businesses in making these money saving upgrades.

Program Description:  Connecticut’s Business Energy Advantage program is an incentive program designed to assist medium sized businesses implement energy efficiency upgrades. This program assists businesses in upgrading efficiency measures throughout their facility such as lighting, HVAC and refrigeration systems.  The program offers generous incentives for the upgrade and installation of the project directly from Eversource.  In addition to this service, once installed the location enjoys an average reduction of 40% - 60% of their energy usage thereby saving the business money on their monthly electric bill.

Program Name:  Energy Opportunities (EO)

Program Size:  Large Business

Program Description:  The Large Commercial and Industrial program is an incentive program for businesses with an average 12 month peak demand over 500kW.  This program encourages property owners to upgrade efficiency measures throughout their location including lighting, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.  To assist their customers with the energy efficiency upgrade, Eversource provides large retrofit incentives.  In addition to the incentive, efficiency upgrades also save businesses a continuing 40% - 60% on their monthly electric bill.

Program Name:  ZREC

Program Size:  N/A

Program Description:  Connecticut’s ZREC program compensates commercial solar energy system owners for electricity their systems generate and deliver to the power grid. Often, a business’s solar system produces more energy than operations require.  By participating in the ZREC program, the business is paid for the clean energy it produces beyond the location’s energy requirements.  A ZREC is a credit paid to the system owner based on how much energy a solar energy system has produced, and it does not matter whether that electricity is consumed behind the meter or exported to the grid.
